I am a mixed media textile artist and am based in Worcestershire.  My home studio is located in an area of outstanding beauty near Malvern; I am surrounded by the most glorious countryside so I am never short of inspiration! 

Be it from the sweet-smelling flowers, the light which filters through the leaves, the interlocking, tangled branches, the breath-taking bold landscapes through to the colours in the evening sky.

My surroundings inspire me to create, to be imaginative and original

I work combining textured papers, colourful fabric and machine stitching to produce unique one-off pieces.  I enjoy using the needle of a sewing machine to draw just as much as I do a pencil.  I form patterns, combine shapes, build layers and create intriguing, colourful surfaces using mixed media.

I’ve always had a passion for art. Having studied Interior Textiles and Floorcoverings at university, I worked for several years as a freelance designer before training to teach and becoming Head of Design Technology at a local girls’ school.
